Textile measurement technology is used for things like the development of car seats with a nice feel, high-quality steering wheels, and instrument panel design. Using detailed measurement data with simulations, we can improve the feel of materials. We also contribute to reduced production costs through shorter development cycles, improved process yields, and product consistency etc.

Helping Develop Paper Tissue That Feels Like Cashmere on the Skin.

Our measurement data showed that when people use tissue paper, they exert 25 grams of pressure on the skin, and when they use a facial cotton ball, they exert 120 grams of pressure. This ability to accurately measure such delicate pressure is why our technology is used in the development of tissue paper and facial cotton balls that feel like cashmere on the skin.

Developing Urethane Artificial Body Parts that are Almost Human.

Using our wealth of data from measurements on humans, we’ve developed artificial body parts that have the realistic resilience of human skin. These parts use urethane instead of the conventionally used silicon. We have had a flood of orders from diaper manufacturers and feminine product companies, and we’re looking to apply our technology to the development of nursing care robots.
