To investigate possible effects on hair caused by different chemical treatments, which can vary among individuals, hair properties can be measured using different methods.
Among the various methods of measuring these properties, accurately grasping the outer circumference of hair, a basic characteristic, enables us to have data feedback that we can use for other property measurements.
There are various methods for measuring the outer circumference of hair; however, this particular device achieves the procedure with greater accuracy and speed.
- Because this product chucks both ends of a hair, measurements can be taken without interference from factors such as wind.
Also, because both ends turn at the same time, the hair does not get twisted. - The sensor moves in the direction of the hair\'s growth, making it possible to easily grasp the hair\'s shape in the direction of growth.
- Property measurement of a hair\'s outer circumference is done in two modes.
One mode measures the circumference of the hair at 360 measuring points (1°/point).
The other mode measures the hair at two points, the largest diameter (the peak) and the smallest diameter (the bottom). - With its optional outer circumference measurement and automatic movement mechanism, the machine can automatically measure the hair\'s outer circumference in the direction of growth at the optional pitch.
- Outer circumference data can be recorded and stored using a PC, and then can be analyzed as Excel data.
