The KES-G5 Compression Tester analyzes hand movements-particularly, movements by finger-performed by artisans and professionals when judging a fabric’s texture. The device performs this movement mechanically, making it possible to obtain objective numerical data while offering more enhanced versatility over the KES-FB3-A Compression Tester.
Obtainable data includes compression rigidity, compression energy, and recoverability.
The machine can be applied to a wide variety of fields and purposes, including determining the softness of disposable diapers and the hardness of mousse.
Choose from variously shaped compression sensors tailored to the sample being measured, for silicon material, how easy buttons can be pushed, car seats. etc.
We will make it according to the customer's requests.

KES (Kawabata Evaluation System)
The Kawabata Evaluation System, centered on Sueo Kawabata, a professor at Kyoto University, and Masako Niwa, a professor at Nara Women’s University, is an objective evaluation method for measuring the texture of clothing fabrics based on the “The Standardization and Analysis of Hand Evaluation” provided by the Hand Evaluation and Standardization Committee of the Textile Machinery Society of Japan.
We offer free sampling services, "for a deeper understanding of our products", "for confirming the measured data that can be obtained", and "to prepare the data necessary for submission of internal approval documents". Please feel free to contact us.
